On A Personal Note; We Would Like To Thank The Coastguard And RNLI Conwy Inshore Lifeboat and RNLI Llandudno Lifeboat Coming To Our Emergency Declared In C12 Section. Misinformation (fake news) has been reported by RNLi Conwy Lifeboat Media Team, As Well As Several News Outlets Throughout North Wales Area; Such As North Wales Pioner, Bayside Radio Station Colwyn Bay. M/Y Vanguard II didn’t suffer from Engine Failure at all, and suffered from dual jammed rudders. Only we know the truth, as we write down and keep a log of all incidents we’ve had at sea. Also reports that M/Y Vanguard II is a 34ft Motor Yacht. Her actual L.O.A is 32Ft M/Y.

Emergency Declared 12:58pm BST 5/17/26 To Holyhead Coastguard (What Actually Happened):

I want to set everyone straight, and I want to make myself abundantly clear on the emergency declared at: 12:58pm BST 5/17/26 to Holyhead Coastguard. M/Y Vanguard II was in heavy 6ft swell M/Y Vanguard II never had “Engine failure”, and “had managed to restart one engine”. Both engines were working fine, as the operator at Holyhead Coastguard was informed that we were steering M/Y Vanguard II with Port & Starboard Engines to steer into the wind, so that the waves could go over the bow.

When the RNLI Conwy Lifeboat D-Class Got on Scene, a crew member got on-board to start getting a tow line setup, and keep in contact with Holyhead Coastguard and RNLI LLandundo Shannon Class All Weather Lifeboat, for when they would get on scene, as the swell was really bad, and we thought that M/Y Vanguard II would capsize. The Captain of the RNLI Conwy Lifeboat D-Class wanted us to put M/Y Vanguard II on a roll in the channel, which was poor judgement on his behalf. I said the RNLI Crew member on board M/Y Vanguard II I am going to steer M/Y Vanguard II Into the wind, so that I’m towards the wind, and not rolling. The Captain of the D-Class Lifeboat again disagreed, and wanted M/Y Vanguard II to continue to roll.

In the Wheelhouse, with rolling I really though we were going to capsize. I wasn’t taking any notice of Captain on his D-Class lifeboat, as he wasn’t onboard to witness the dangerous roll of M/Y Vanguard II.

RNLI LLandundo Lifeboat Shannon Class All Weather Lifeboat, got on scene for: 1:18pm BST, and then the crew started getting the towlines setup, and decided to be on M/Y Vanguard II Portside. The Lifeboat nearly ripped out M/Y Vanguard II Cleat, and caused damages to the side of M/Y Vanguard II which is going to be very expensive to fix.

Fake News Telling Got To Stop In The U.K:
